Soviet Union USSR. Medal Bar of a Soviet Soldier Who Fought in the Caucasus
This medal group consists of the following decorations:
The Medal for Combat Merit was a Soviet military decoration awarded for bravery, initiative, and distinguished service in combat. The Medal for the Defence of the Caucasus was awarded to military personnel and civilians who took part in defending the Caucasus region against the German advance during the Second World War, particularly during the crucial campaigns of 1942–1943 on the Eastern Front.
The combination of these two medals identifies the recipient as a veteran who participated in the defence of the Caucasus while serving in the armed forces of the Soviet Union.
Original Soviet decorations from the Second World War.
