The Medal for the Defense of Leningrad was a decoration established by the Soviet Union to recognize those who participated in the defense of the city during the prolonged siege of the Siege of Leningrad of World War II.
It was awarded to both Red Army soldiers and civilians who contributed to the resistance, including the construction of fortifications, maintaining industrial production, and supporting the besieged population.
