Soviet Union USSR. Medal for the Defense of Moscow, Variant 3
The Medal for the Defense of Moscow was a decoration created by the Soviet Union to recognize military personnel and civilians who took part in the defense of the city during the Battle of Moscow of World War II on the Eastern Front.
It was awarded to those who contributed to resisting the advance of German forces, including Red Army soldiers and civilians involved in building defenses or providing logistical support.
This example is a Variant 3, issued after World War II to individuals who did not receive it at the time.
