The Medal for Combat Merit was a Soviet military decoration awarded for bravery, initiative, and distinguished service. The Victory over Germany Medal recognized participation in the defeat of Germany during the Great Patriotic War, while the 30th Anniversary Medal commemorated service in the armed forces of the Soviet Union.
The plastic ribbon bar is a relatively uncommon variant. This lightweight style was often used for commemorative events and ceremonial occasions, including traditional Victory Day parades, where veterans wore their decorations on uniform or civilian attire.
