Serial Number: 64542 | Second model with five rivets
The Order of the October Revolution (Орден Октябрьской Революции) was one of the highest decorations of the Soviet Union. It was established on October 31, 1967, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. Created during the leadership of Leonid Brezhnev, it was the second-highest Soviet award, following the Order of Lenin.
It was awarded to Soviet citizens for outstanding revolutionary activity.
The decoration features a five-pointed silver star measuring 43 mm across, with red enamel on the arms and silver rays between the points.
At the top sits a red enamel banner with the gold inscription in two lines: «ОКТЯБРЬСКАЯ РЕВОЛЮЦИЯ» («October Revolution»).
At the center, within a silver pentagon, is an image of the Aurora cruiser, symbol of the Revolution’s beginning. Below it is the gold hammer and sickle emblem.
