Soviet Union USSR. Sculpture or statue of the Son of the Regiment.
Several child soldiers served in the Soviet Union’s armed forces during World War II. In some cases, orphans unofficially joined the Soviet Red Army or the partisans to avenge their fallen families. These children were affectionately known as «sons of the regiment» (Russian: сын полка). Small uniforms were made for them, they were armed, and they performed military roles such as reconnaissance, combat, and sabotage. After the war, several statues were erected in honor of these children.
It has a crack at the bottom.
Soviet statue made of bronze alloy in the 1970s.
