Spain. Badge of the Information Service of Falange Española de las JONS, numbered 53
This example is the first model of the badge of the Information Service Headquarters of the Falange, and one of the earliest produced, as indicated by the low number 53. It was likely made before the Unification Decree of 1937, since it bears “FE de las JONS” instead of “FET de las JONS,” placing it in the begining of the Spanish Civil War. It is marked “916/000,” indicating that it is made of 91.6% silver.
The meaning of the initials “S. S.” remains unknown.
Manufactured by the Fermín Jewelry Workshop in Palma de Mallorca, known for its work related to Falange decorations and Spanish Civil War items.
Size: 41 × 32 mm.
