Spain. Falange Dagger or Fighting Knife, SEAM 1936/8
Period dagger or fighting knife associated with the Falange Española during the Spanish Civil War. Knives of this type were used both as field tools and as distinctive personal items by members of political and military organizations on the Nationalist side.
The diamond-shaped grip emblem retains its painted Falange shield, displaying the characteristic symbols of the movement.
The blade bears the marking SEAM 1936/8, identifying manufacture by the Sociedad Española de Armas y Municiones of Eibar, one of Spain’s principal arms manufacturers of the period.
