Spain. Falange Machete, Dagger or Fighting Knife from Mallorca, Spanish Civil War
Period fighting knife or dagger associated with the Falange Española and manufactured in Mallorca during the Spanish Civil War.
The grip retains the Falange emblem, featuring the yoke and arrows painted in red. The scabbard is finished in black, a characteristic commonly encountered on these knives.
It was manufactured by La FEMU, a tool and hardware factory that was militarized during the war and operated under the name BUADES to support wartime production.
The dagger shows damage to one arm of the crossguard (galluelo), which is broken, a condition consistent with age and service use.
