This system, known as I.M.C.A.E. (Intercambio de Mutualidades de Conductores de Automóviles de España), brought together different mutual organizations and was already established during the 1930s.
The badge bears the marking “I.M.C.A.” and was manufactured by Egaña, a Spanish firm specializing in badges and decorations. It is a mutual-aid insignia associated with the organizations providing welfare and assistance to Spanish automobile drivers.
