Spain. Oviedo Defenders Medal 1936-37. With the date 1936-37 on the ribbon.
The medal was established by the Oviedo City Council on October 13, 1938, to honor those who participated in the defense of the city during the events of 1936. The medal was reportedly made using metal from shells fired by the Republican army at the Asturian capital during the siege.
