Spain. Spanish M34 or M38 Helmet from the Spanish Civil War
The Model 1934 helmet was manufactured in 1934 and intended for use by the Security Forces. However, in 1938, the government of the Second Republic decided to use it as a helmet for soldiers of the People’s Army of the Republic.
This helmet was refurbished during the 1943 recovery campaign, repainted green, and fitted with the front insignia of the Spanish Army eagle.
