United States. MK3 Combat Knife for the US Navy and Navy SEALs
The Mark 3 or MK3 combat knife was used by the Armed Forces of the United States from the 1970s onward, but it was not until 1982 that it was officially adopted as the standard “combat/utility knife” of the United States Navy SEALs. It was also used by Recon Marines during Combat Diver training courses.
The grip is marked “USN” for United States Navy. The scabbard bears the marking “MK 3 MOD 0 USN” identifying the model.
The blade is marked “MK 3 MOD 0” and “2V375”, the code used by the United States Government to identify the manufacturer Ontario Knife Company.
