USSR. Soviet Union. 1st Class Officer’s Specialist Badge.
Military qualification badge for “1st Class Specialist”, awarded to qualified personnel of the Armed Forces of the USSR. This example corresponds to the tank troops speciality.
This pattern was introduced by USSR Ministry of Defence Order No. 85 of 10 August 1961, replacing the previous qualification badges. The award was accompanied by a certificate recording the specialist class attained and any subsequent changes. The qualification had to be periodically reconfirmed.
Made of brass, enamel and anodised metal.
