Medal «Za взятие Kenigsberg».
The medal was established by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on June 9, 1945. The regulations concerning the medal were supplemented by Resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on February 5, 1951.
The «For the Capture of Königsberg» Medal is awarded to members of the Red Army, Navy, and NKVD who participated directly in the heroic assault and capture of Königsberg between January 23 and April 10, 1945, as well as to the organizers and leaders of the combat operations during the capture of this city.
