The badge commemorates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution of 1945 and Vietnam’s National Day, 1945-2025. The official design features Hồ Chí Minh reading the Declaration of Independence on 2 September 1945 at Ba Đình Square in Hanoi, together with the national red flag bearing a golden star and the dates 19/8 and 2/9, referring to the August Revolution and National Day. The number 80 identifies the anniversary being commemorated. The design was approved in 2025 by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for official use in anniversary-related publicity and commemorative activities.
