Vietnam. “For the Cause of Education” Commemorative Medal
Official Vietnamese award issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo), known in Vietnamese as Kỷ niệm chương “Vì sự nghiệp giáo dục”, meaning “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Education”. The medal is awarded in recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to education and training in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The award was established to recognize merit among people working in the education sector, as well as, under specific criteria, individuals and organizations outside the sector who have made significant contributions to Vietnamese education. The relevant regulations provide for its individual presentation as an official honour of the Ministry of Education and Training. The inscription VÌ SỰ NGHIỆP GIÁO DỤC translates as “For the Cause of Education”.
