Yugoslavia. Yugoslav M1948 Bayonet for the Mauser Model 1948
Yugoslav Model 1948 bayonet designed for the Mauser M1948 rifle, a firearm closely based on the German Karabiner 98k.
This is the short version derived from the earlier M1924 pattern. The blade bears the Cyrillic marking “ПРЕДУЗЕЋЕ 44” (“Enterprise 44”), used before 1953 and identifying the Zavodi Crvena Zastava (“Red Flag Works”) factory. It also retains the Cyrillic “ВК” acceptance stamp of Vojna Kontrola (“Military Inspection”).
A particularly interesting feature of this example is the matching serial number 95356, stamped on both the crossguard and the scabbard.
Original Yugoslav bayonet from Tito’s Socialist Yugoslavia.
