Germany III Reich.
Order of the German Eagle 1st Class with Swords (Deutscher Adlerorden Verdienstkreuz 1. Stufe mit Schwertern, in German) with its original box.
The ring is marked «900» in reference to the quality of the silver and «L/50» from the manufacturer Gebruder Godet & Co. of Berlin. Godet used the marking «L/50» together with «900» between 1943 and 1945.
The Order of Merit of the German Eagle was a diplomatic and honorary award given to prominent foreigners, particularly diplomats. It was awarded with Swords when the recipient was a high military rank.

The eagle type and swords are characteristics of the manufacturer Gebruder Godet. The ring attachment piece corresponds to the second ornate model. The size of the cross is 50 mm
The neckband is complete.
The case retains almost all of its red with the entire central eagle, although with some worn points.
