Bronze bust of Napoleon Bonaparte, signed by Paul Ludwig Kowalczewski (1865 – 1910).
Statue, figure or bust from the late 19th century with a green marble base. On the front it has the anagram «N». The non-slip felt on the base is a recent addition.
Paul Ludwig Kowalczewski was a Polish artist born in Mielżyn, present-day Poland, in 1865, an art student at the Berlin Academy and a participant in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition with bronze figures and busts. He died in 1910 in Berlin.
