NCO shoulder board of the Heer with three pipes of Sergeant major and white piping of the Infantry troops. Model 1936 (M36) made of dark green wool.
The Army shoulder boards of the Wehrmacht (Heer Schulterstücke or Schulterklappen) indicated the rank and branch of service of their wearer. Shoulder boards for enlisted men and non-commissioned officers were made of cotton and had colored piping corresponding to their arm of service.
